1. Overview
KAVAYA INFOTECH PVT. LTD. ("KAVAYA," "we," "us," or "our") builds custom software, websites, mobile apps, SaaS products, and smart mobility platforms — including our own product, Yaan Drishya. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website and products, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our website or any KAVAYA product, you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information in a few different ways, depending on how you interact with us:
Information you give us directly
- Contact form submissions — name, email, and your message
- Custom project / idea form submissions — name, contact details, and project description
- Job applications — resume, contact information, and any details you choose to share
- Newsletter sign-ups — email address
Information collected automatically
- Basic usage data such as pages visited and approximate location (via IP address), used only for understanding site traffic
- Cookies, as described in Section 6
Information collected through our products
Products such as Yaan Drishya may collect additional information needed to operate the service — see Section 4 for details specific to that product.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to inquiries submitted through our contact, careers, or custom-project forms
- Evaluate job applications
- Operate, maintain, and improve our website and products
- Send product updates if you've opted into our newsletter
- Meet legal and regulatory obligations
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Yaan Drishya — Location & Student Data
Yaan Drishya is a transit-tracking platform used by schools and universities, and it necessarily handles more sensitive data than our website does. This includes:
- Real-time vehicle location data, collected from driver devices while a trip is active, used to power live tracking and ETAs
- Student roster information (such as name and assigned route/stop), provided to us by the partner institution to enable the service
- Parent/guardian contact details, used solely to deliver trip alerts and notifications
- Driver verification details collected during onboarding
This data is owned and controlled by the partner institution (school or university) that deploys Yaan Drishya. KAVAYA processes it on the institution's behalf and does not use student or location data for advertising or share it with unrelated third parties. Institutions using Yaan Drishya are responsible for obtaining appropriate consent from parents/guardians as required under applicable law.
5. Sharing of Information
We may share your information with:
- Service providers who help us operate, maintain, secure, and improve our website, products, and services (such as cloud hosting, email delivery, payment processing, customer support, analytics, and infrastructure providers), all of whom are bound by appropriate confidentiality and data protection obligations.
- Organizations, institutions, or business customers that use KAVAYA products and services, where we process data on their behalf in accordance with applicable agreements.
- Business partners where necessary to deliver, integrate, or support specific features or services that you choose to use.
- Government authorities, regulators, or law enforcement agencies where required by applicable law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of KAVAYA, our users, or others.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We also do not share your personal information with advertisers or data brokers for their independent marketing purposes.
6. Cookies
Our website uses cookies to remember basic preferences and understand aggregate site usage. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; doing so may affect some site functionality. We display a cookie notice on your first visit so you can accept or adjust this.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to provide our products and services, fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and protect our legitimate business interests.
Data submitted through contact forms, career applications, support requests, or custom project inquiries is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request or evaluate your application. Information processed through KAVAYA products—including Yaan Drishya, InOneOS, and future products and services—is retained in accordance with the applicable product requirements, customer agreements, institutional policies, and legal obligations.
When personal information is no longer required for these purposes, we will securely delete, anonymize, or otherwise dispose of it in accordance with applicable laws and our internal data retention practices.
8. Data Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards — including encrypted connections, access controls, and role-based permissions within our products — to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, or loss. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, update, download, or request deletion of your personal information, as well as withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may also have the right to object to or restrict certain types of data processing.
To exercise these rights, please contact us using the details provided in Section 13. If you are using a KAVAYA product through an organization, institution, school, university, or other partner, some requests may need to be directed to that organization, as it may control or administer the data processed through the service.
10. Children's Data
Some KAVAYA products and services may be used by individuals under the age of 18 through schools, universities, educational institutions, or other authorized organizations. In such cases, KAVAYA processes personal information only as necessary to provide the requested services and in accordance with applicable laws and agreements with the relevant organization.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children without appropriate authorization where required. Any information relating to minors is collected, provided, or managed by the responsible institution, organization, parent, or legal guardian, depending on the nature of the service.
If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us in a manner that is not authorized or compliant with applicable law, please contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
